Istanbul and Marmara, Aegean, Mediterranean, Black Sea Regions Maritime Chamber of Commerce, which are also known as the Maritime Chamber of Commerce for short, is an important professional institution of the Turkish maritime trade sector and its headquarters is in Istanbul. Its branches are İzmir, Bodrum, Marmaris, Antalya, İskenderun, Fethiye, Karadeniz Ereğlisi (West Black Sea Region) and Kocaeli Branch. In addition, a Liaison Office in Ankara, Turkey, and has representative offices in all coastal provinces and districts. Maritime Chamber of Commerce was first established as Istanbul Deniz Chamber on 26 August 1982, and then the scope of the Sea of ​​Marmara Region, Turkey's Aegean coast and the Mediterranean coastal zones, and so finally to cover the Black Sea coast of the country
Objectives:

The most important objectives of the Chamber of Shipping are; protecting the interests of its members, meeting the common needs of seafarers, ensuring the development of the maritime profession, facilitating professional activities, establishing common rules, advising the authorities on maritime issues, as well as protecting the maritime profession's discipline, morality and solidarity.

Operations:

The main activities of the Chamber of Shipping are; to determine the rules and practices related to maritime transport, to conduct research, to gather information about maritime transport, to ensure that maritime trade develops in accordance with the national transport policy, to inform foreign organizations about the opportunities and tariffs of Turkish ports, to become a member of international organizations related to maritime, to monitor their activities and in law is to perform other specified tasks.
