Since 1960, our responsibility is to direct, coordinate and attend, in a timely manner, to the different emergencies related to fires, explosions and other related calamities.
In the Magdalena Department, the Institution is an active and dynamic part of the Regional Risk Management Council (CRGRD), the Municipal Risk Management Council (CMGR), and the Departmental and District Health System. Together with the other relief agencies, it not only offers prevention, care, response to emergency situations caused by natural and man-made disasters, but also participates in decision-making in this regard and coordinates development and logistics. of programs, projects, and activities.
Our work has been framed within great vicissitudes regarding the allocation of resources for the acquisition of equipment and vehicles that allow us to achieve our mission of saving lives or property, resorting to international donations a large number of times and for this reason our Plan seeks establish key guidelines to maximize our capacity to respond to emergencies in the Tourist and Historic District with a development in accordance with its natural potential, which has led it to become a challenge of progress for our Atlantic Coast and without a doubt the entire country .
