Takt Time vs Cycle Time

Takt time is the rate at which you need to complete a product in order to meet customer demand. The Takt time is calculated based on the customer's demand. The cycle time is measured on the production line. Your goal is to produce at the same speed as the customer, which means that your Cycle Time should be equal to the Takt Time.
