Established in 1986, the Hong Kong Construction Industry General Union is a member of the Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions and a trade union of the construction industry. This association has gathered 24 genres with different historical lengths and different types of work. Among them, there are more than one hundred years of faculty that have a long history spanning a century; there are members with many members, traditional traditions and prestigious sensations; there are also associations that are short-lived, have potential, and are in the ascendant. The purpose of the trade union is to uphold the spirit of "patriotism, love of Hong Kong, unity, rights, welfare, participation", strive for labor rights, adjust labor relations, promote occupational safety and health, care for workers' professional life, set up workers' welfare, and carry out cultural and recreational activities. Participate in labor and social affairs and promote worker solidarity. Anyone engaged in the construction industry, including construction sites, renovations, civilian personnel, and employees involved in the construction industry, regardless of any work department or engineering, may join the trade union.
