About XCSpec Devices

Use of the XCSpec Device App
This android application provides tools for installers of XCSpec’s PressureWatchPro system and TstatPro systems to set up and commission these devices locally in the field. The following describes the use of the various application navigational and use pages.

Use of Navigation Bar.
The Navigation Bar is across all pages of the application. There are four functions accessible through the Navigation Bar: The Home icon brings you back to this page (landing page). The Question Mark provides per page help instructions. The Gear Icon allows you to configure the display parameters for pressure (pa vs. inches of wc) and temperature (F vs. C). The Close bar lets you close the app – including releasing the Wi-Fi attachment from any device you may have selected to communicate with while using this app. We recommend using this to close the app.

Landing Page.
This page shows you the XCSpec devices within Wi-Fi distance of your mobile phone. The devices are shown with a Relative Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) graphically and the numeric value. This page continuously updates the device Relative Signal Strength Indicator (RSSI) values.

Live Data Page
This page displays live data from a PWPR selected. This data will continuously update data the displayed data parameters. Use this Page to confirm that the transmitters are attached to this receiver and communicating.

Advanced User Page.
This page is used to select System options to edit or change. These include Network and Commissioning parameters of a PWPR.

System Set Up Page.
This page is used to attach PWPT (Transmitters) to this PWPR (Receiver). The Receiver can be attached to up to four PWPTs. To add a Transmitter, you must know the MAC ID of the device – this can be read off the label. This is a 12 character field with dashes. The human readable label can be associated with each Label.

Fan Commissioning Page.
Use this page to commission the Fan for an INTAKE or EXHAUST on the PWPR. After selecting this, use this page to run a manual test on the Fan.
Select Fan Type. Use these Radial buttons to configure the FAN system to either exhaust or intake air.

Determine Building Characteristics Page.
This page provides a tool to set up the remaining system commissioning parameters based on a test of the building pressure characteristics. The output from this test page will be a set of suggested PI parameter and Fan speed parameters.

System Commissioning Parameters Page.
Use of This Page. This page allows the installer to manually set up the PI parameters. The Proportional Integral (PI) is a feedback control algorithm that allows for smooth and accurate control of fan speed to maintain a desired pressure in a space.

Note: The calibrate space function determines PI parameters specific to the space.on will load the parameters in the fields above into the PWPR.

Network Setup Page.
Depending on your building and system configuration, this page allows you to configure the Receiver to the Cloud. Communication with a cloud is NOT MANDATORY. The PWPR will operate without cloud connection. I

Network System Set Up Configurations: The PressureWatchPro supports three network configurations, depending on your requirements. Please reference PWPT installation manual for further instructions to Set Up the Transmitter

Network configuration.
No External Wi-Fi connections.
External Wi-Fi Access Point for local access only.
External WiFi- Access Point for Internet Access.

Decommissioning Page.
This page is used to decommission a device and reset the factory defaults.
