CristoMix Radio is an online Catholic radio station established in the city of San José (Costa Rica) where it began broadcasting in September 2020, in the most complicated of the pandemic caused by COVID-19.
The radio, initially managed by the Community of Catholic DJs of Costa Rica, was born after the success of "Cristomix", which was a radio program that integrated live mixes of Catholic music with a complete catechism based on the Catholic faith. related to topics of interest to young people; Currently, CristoMix Radio is managed by a staff made up of lay people of 3 different Central American nationalities, which has made it possible for it to have equipped booths to broadcast remotely from Costa Rica, Guatemala and El Salvador, apart from having a staff of 4 resident Catholic DJs. : DJ Dano and DJ J Mix (Costa Rica), DJ Arriaga (Guatemala), and Mau (El Salvador).
From its beginnings to the present, CristoMix Radio has been a Catholic communication medium focused on being a different proposal for Latin American youth, both in its daily programs and in its musical programming, which includes completely Catholic music in genres such as Reggaeton, Rap , Hip Hop, Rock, Electronic Music, Cumbia, Merengue, Vallenato, Bachata, among others.
Since December 2021, CristoMix Radio is also part of "Misericordia Juvenil Multimedios", a Costa Rican multi-platform consortium of Catholic media dedicated to spreading the Gospel through existing digital platforms.
