Western Bohemia is the site of the most intense seismic activity in the Czech Republic. Thanks to SeisLok, it's possible
show the most accurate current earthquake activity in this area.
SeisLok developed the Geophysical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences v.v.i. for improvement
general public awareness of seismic activity in the West
Czechs. It gives the most accurate information about earthquake activity because it uses it
measured data from the WEBNET network, built specifically for monitoring
West Bohemia. It is possible to complete a macroseismic questionnaire.
The data from the questionnaires are used for the most significant phenomena to determine the macroseismic intensity. This information is then used by insurers in the process of settling claims.
- Look at the epicenter map, click on the dot to see detailed information (magnitude, time of occurrence, depth)
- View quake list (filter and sort)
- Press the button with the seismogram symbol and report the earthquake
- Watch news from the Geophysical Institute
