"Gynecology Direct - Clinic guidelines for general gynaecology, gynecological oncology and urogynaecology of the women's clinic of the Florence Nightingale Hospital (Prof. Dr. med. Björn Lampe)
"Gynecology Direct" was developed by Prof. Dr. medical Björn Lampe developed. The app is primarily intended to serve as an orientation aid for the employees of the women's clinic at the Florence Nightingale Hospital (FNK) in their everyday medical work - be it in the outpatient clinic, on the ward or in the operating room. Apart from tabular detailed information or classifications, the clarification and therapy algorithms result in a standardized procedure that characterizes the women's clinic of the FNK.
“Gynaekologie Direkt” should not, does not want to and cannot be a textbook or replace a guideline. Qualitatively "good medicine" is based on evidence-based data and the recommendations of the S3 guidelines. However, the key point is always an individual situation and a therapy concept adapted to the patient. Sometimes we deviate from the recommendations of the guideline on individual aspects with justification. Referrers and patients are informed about the strategy and focal points such as operative gynaecology, especially in oncology. We assume no responsibility for any resulting therapy decisions by users. Even if we try to keep "Gynaekologie Direkt" up to date, it is possible that the treatment concepts formulated lag behind current recommendations. The medicine of today is already outdated by the ever-faster pace of progress, the constant flow of new study data and publications
One focus of the app is the weighting of alternative subject areas, some of which clearly overlap with surgery and urology - A gynecologist in the outpatient clinic should definitely have a basic knowledge of proctology or the treatment modalities of abdominal walls and inguinal hernias. The senology is not considered in the app, since the women's clinic at the FNK is not a breast center.
"Gynaekologie Direkt" should and is a "learning tool" that, in addition to being updated, thrives on continuous criticism. We are not only grateful for suggestions and suggestions for improvement, we even depend on them.
