HOW-TO
1. Download and install the "Carlsen Oceans VR" app.
2. Start the app and insert the smartphone into the cardboard glasses.
3. Discover corals, jellyfish, sharks and much more...
Tip: It is best to hold your cardboard glasses with both hands so that the smartphone does not slip out on the sides.

"Ozeane" wins the TOMMI because the VR glasses give us the feeling of actually being under water. And that's cool. We like that we can decide for ourselves what we want to know, because there are topics that are exciting and not so exciting. We can look at different things like the seabed, coral reefs or the plastic waste in the sea. We've learned that corals are living things and sharks don't prey on humans, they just occasionally clash. It's like a cross between a book and a movie.

On a good 50 pages, "Oceans" deals with the fascinating underwater worlds of our planet, their most important manifestations and diverse inhabitants, but also the threats to which the oceans are exposed by mankind. The attractively designed book invites you to immerse yourself extensively, but the addition of quickly folded cardboard VR glasses ensures even more immersive experiences. Thanks to the associated app and cardboard VR glasses, readers are transported directly into half a dozen animated scenes from the book. A short but great experience for young researchers.
