Contact is always made via the pins. Each pin has a built-in chat function that you can use to write to your own pins at any time. Conversely, you can actively write to any other pin.
If you are looking for something specific, then the simple filter function will be helpful for you, e.g. by gender or reason for use. You can use the “My Pins” function to quickly view your pins at any time.
If you don't want some requests or members, no problem, you just block them. Sounds harder than it is, but you know best what you're really looking for.
