Roster Helper is a free application that you can use to create rosters for a department in a clinic, an emergency service area, a catering establishment or other institutions with shift work, on-call services or on-call services.
In contrast to many other programs, all those on duty can enter their personal availability ("like to work", "no duty", "holiday", "sick", maximum number of shifts per month) into the database with the roster helper. During the creation of the duty roster, these duty requests are displayed using different colors and the total values of the assigned duties for each duty employee.
Since the number of available duty workers is also displayed for each day, it is immediately visible at the beginning of planning where there may be days with bottlenecks that must be assigned as a matter of priority. Thanks to this continuously updated information, errors are largely prevented, even with complicated duty scheduling.
As an administrator, you should invite every employee on duty to also log into your duty roster. You can grant the employees either read-only or write access to the duty schedule.
You can also have the application automatically allocate the services that are still to be assigned at any time. Here, too, the individual availability of all colleagues is taken into account and, as far as possible, an even distribution among colleagues is guaranteed.
The rosters are created monthly and can be downloaded as a PDF and/or printed out.
