About IO-Navigator-Mobile (O.T.)

This app is the IO-Navigator-Mobile app (without telescope connection via the IO-ScopeInTheBox platform).
The devices of the IO-ScopeInTheBox platform will soon be available in stores or via our website (https://io-astronomie.de). There are other apps for its use.

This app offers you the most important components you need to find your way in the starry sky.

The sky is displayed in a very nice 360 degree view.

You can operate the app easily using 4 buttons at the top left. The best way to use the app is to hold the respective device with both hands and use your thumbs to interact with the interface. We have placed great value on very good usability!

We limit ourselves to about 1200 objects and not to 30000 or more. For most of these objects, we have created descriptive texts by hand over the years, which show very interesting details about the celestial objects.

The coordinates of the 7 planets and Pluto are also included.

You will NOT be bothered with any ads. This app is a version of our PC program IO-Navigator-PC adapted to mobile devices.

You can therefore move the sky section either by finger touch (sliding) or by using the direction buttons that you see on the screen (the former must be activated in the settings).

With the button for the astro types, you can set which types of
astroobject types you would like to see. You can also save in profiles which astro object types should be displayed. The profiles can be created very easily and then replaced if necessary.

The brightnesses of all objects are given in logarithmic size classes. According to the current literature, we differentiate between surface brightness, point-precise brightness and variable brightness.

The names of the objects are also given in accordance with current specialist literature. Here we differentiate between Flamsteed, Bayer, NGC, Messier and spoken plain text names (e.g. Andromeda galaxy, M31).

If objects are really missing, you can create them later at any time. One type of astro object is the user-defined objects.

If you like the app, you may be interested in the variant with the ability to control Goto telescopes via WiFi. This is the app IO-Navigator-Mobile (with telescope). This app can also be used to connect our Push-To-Box and to use our IO Magnetic Rotator technology. These technologies will soon appear on the market.

Are you also interested in our PC version, the IO-Navigator-PC (for PC and notebook)?

We wish you a lot of fun with our app and may you look where no one has looked before!
