The app emerged from a cooperation with the ERDF-funded research project Creactive Citizen and offers a platform for citizens, the general public and stakeholders to enable digital citizen participation in the context of infrastructure projects (e.g. wind power, network expansion, transport) as well as urban and regional development measures (e.g. new buildings, design and revitalization of public spaces).
The aim of the research project is to create a digital basis for participation in which various functions are combined in order to enable citizens to participate as transparently and fairly as possible. Innovative approaches are to be used for this, for example to visualize construction measures or changes in public space. Thanks to innovative technologies such as B. Augmented Reality should create a basis for discussions, comments and votes. Citizens should be able to actively exchange ideas through the platform, express opinions and give preferences, but also be able to provide passive information.
How can Olpers specifically participate via the app?
Simply download the app and create an account. The articles can also be read without a user account. However, the comment function is only available for account owners. On the start view there are several articles with information on current projects including further documents. Both comments and ratings are possible and are collected or evaluated by the project team. The city of Olpe is continuously informed about incoming suggestions and ideas and can in turn give feedback on them.
