About Biodiversity Warehouse

Biologists observe the environment and collect information - computer scientists tame bits and bytes and are interested in the environment.
Why not work with and for the environment?
The Biodiversity Working Group at Bremen University of Applied Sciences follows precisely this idea. Since 2010, she has therefore been creating interdisciplinary collaboration solutions for the detection and evaluation of biodiversity in different regions.
The core of these solutions is a framework for digital biodiversity atlases. This allows the organization and communication of biological information. Due to the increasing number of users and the activity of the biologists, the requirements for the framework grew rapidly, so that the concept is constantly adapted and expanded and solutions are sought.

There are currently three instances of the framework running, the Mammal, the Shell and the Fish Atlas.
