The Naturkieker app invites you as part of the "Naturkieker-Biodiversitätsverbund Oldenburger Land" project of the Oldenburg landscape to document nature observations, whether plants or animals, including photos.
The observations you enter can be called up, filtered, edited and supplemented at any time via the attached "Naturkieker portal". In this way, over time, you will create your personal collection of observations of the local flora and fauna.
The app can also be used for pure input without creating a user account. To manage your data, it is necessary to upload the collected observations to the portal https://portal.naturkieker.de by setting up a user account.
The app enables either a quick and uncomplicated input with just a few clicks for the interested layperson or the spontaneous documentation of an observation on site, as well as extensive input of additional information for the expert.
Each data set contributes to forming a comprehensive data pool of the natural inventory of species in Friesland and the Oldenburg region in the background. On the basis of this, the project, together with its partner network, can identify existing situations and developments and suggest and implement measures. Their successes can be documented and further possible follow-up measures can be adapted, optimized and implemented in a target-oriented manner.
The aim of the project is to motivate people to observe and get to know the local biodiversity and thus to expand species knowledge and to conserve and promote the local biodiversity together with the project partners in the biodiversity network through the implementation of targeted measures.
