This is the premium version of the free app 'Learn European Countries: MapApp'.
As a Christmas present, all of my apps are now available free of charge. I had a lot of fun programming. Unfortunately, for personal and professional reasons, I can no longer keep the app up to date. I therefore hope that it will continue to give as many users as possible joy and fun while learning, even without being updated.
With this app you can playfully learn the countries of Europe with their capitals as well as the largest rivers, the seas and islands, the high mountains and many selected cities.
This ranges from a simple view of the map to a quiz that requires quick answers to a sophisticated learning system based on the card box principle.
If you don't know what to do next, there are helpful explanations to help you use the app as easily as possible.
In the app you can choose between different categories:
1) You can choose a quiz category in which you have to name or show as many answers as possible as quickly as possible to get a high score.
2) There is also a learning category. There is a prefabricated card index box that you can use to study without rushing. Again you can choose whether you want to be queried by simply pointing, tapping the card or typing in the correct answer. Incorrectly answered questions are put back in Box 1. Correctly answered questions are placed in the next higher box in ascending order to box 5. This is a good way of assessing what you still have to learn and what you have already mastered well.
Now new: You can choose from all levels of difficulty which elements should be queried for both quizzes and learning.
For example, if you only want to learn certain rivers, you can have this selection queried. Furthermore, you can of course simply start all elements of a difficulty level immediately.
3) Last but not least, there is the option of simply looking at the existing map and clicking through it. So you can see directly what this or that area is on the map.
Each of these categories is available for the options 'Countries of Europe' with capitals (available as a free app), 'Cities', 'Rivers', 'Seas and Islands' and 'Mountains'.
With the exception of the mountains, all categories are divided into different levels of difficulty. Cities and countries even have the option of choosing between a political and a geographic map.
The countries with capitals are similar to the free version in 3 subdivisions according to their location. There is also the option of learning the countries on the new geographic map.
The cities can be learned in 4 levels of difficulty with 30 cities each. Only those difficulty levels are displayed on the map that also appear in the query.
The rivers of Europe are available in 3 levels of difficulty. The easy rivers, which are also shown on other maps, are shown thicker than the more difficult rivers. There are already some unknown but still large and long rivers here. If a level is too difficult, you can simply make your own selection.
With the mountains you can learn the name of the highest peak for the high mountains. These are queried like the capitals of the countries; however, you can just as easily leave them out.
The seas and islands are initially at an easy level of difficulty. The queried islands are also outlined so that they can be found more easily. The difficult level is divided into regions. Bays and smaller seas, such as the Adriatic Sea in the Mediterranean, are also queried here. Sometimes you have to zoom in well to find smaller islands.
