SWALK, a mixture of sound and walk, is a geo location based audio app. For the first time SWALK Heinrich Schütz uses GPS-controlled "sound walks" to experience the life and work of a composer in sound bubbles.
Who enters the bubbles, hear in the finest 3D sound and in a novel blend of information and entertainment masterpieces of the 17th century by internationally renowned interpreters, brief background information and electronic Orchestronik® sound collages by Fabian Russ, the life of the century composer Heinrich Schütz in Central Germany and Europe as a sound experience closer.
SWALK, developed by Orchestronik®, is a steadily growing app: first soundwalks and sound stations are available in Weißenfels, Bad Köstritz, Zeitz and Dresden. These are constantly expanding, and new places are added.
