The GSAapp is based on the database of the ChemInfo system, which is operated and maintained by a federal-state cooperation project. The countries involved in the cooperation as well as their BOS associations can use it free of charge and in full.
In the GSAapp, information on around 40,000 substances can be checked intuitively using different profiles for the fire brigade, specialist advisors, rescue service and THW.

The GSAapp is divided into a substance and transport search. The transport search can be used to search for legal regulations and dangers of transported goods in general by entering search parameters in a visualized warning board.
Using the text search, chemical properties of individual substances can be researched. Substance names, CAS numbers or UN numbers are used for input and search. Depending on the profile set, the information found is displayed in different tabs.
The information it contains includes general material properties, hazards and measures as well as protection and first aid instructions.
