From the inherited or borrowed terms, with the help of affixes or other procedures, the words formed on our own land - in the Moldovan language - are born. Thus, from the inherited noun "forest", for example, derive the units forester, forester, a forest, etc.
It must be emphasized, however, that among the words formed on Moldovan soil there are a number of units, the origin of which cannot be determined without etymological investigations. Over time, due to phonetic or semantic reasons, the clarity of form (motivation) of some of the discussed elements is lost. For example, the case of the terms "mujdei" or "carpenter".
