Shane Dowling LL.B. is the Principal of Direct Law Solicitors based in Skerries Co. Dublin, qualified as a solicitor and Commissioner for Oaths in Ireland in 1992, and is licensed by The Chief Justice of Ireland as a Notary Public for Counties Dublin, Meath, Kildare and Wicklow.
He is also qualified to practice in England and Wales. Shane is one of the first solicitors to be licensed by the Insolvency Service of Ireland to act as a Personal Insolvency Practitioner (PIP), and is the only solicitor PIP in this part of the country.
Before setting up Direct Law Solicitors Shane was a partner in one of the largest law firms in north County Dublin. Shane advises on all areas of general practice, with particular emphasis on residential and commercial conveyancing, personal injuries litigation, probate, employment law, wills and estate planning.
Shane is a member of Fingal Dublin Chamber of Commerce, and is a former president of, and still actively involved in, Skerries Chamber of Commerce. He is also involved in other local sports and community organisations. Shane regularly contributes to FLAC (free legal advice), is a member of the Law Society of Ireland and the Dublin Solicitors Bar Association.
