About DAIJO

Smallest shop in Kyoto.

It is French dinning of seafood and morning picking vegetables directly from Toyama Himi fishing port.
The main ingredients are the seafood that is delivered daily from Himi, the vegetables of the farmer who visits each morning, and the wild grass picked at the Satoyama that walks with your dog.
Since I'm from France, I started as a French restaurant, but while composing a menu according to the daily ingredients, it's a fusion cuisine that also incorporates sushi and pasta.

I want to spend some time on the best ingredients, somehow and gently.
It is the unchanging feeling of DAIJO that will be in its 17th year.

Bright Ideas, Fine Organic Cuisine.
We use the most delicious ingredients from all over Japan.
We serve a fusion of French and Japanese cuisine.
Our vegetables are purchased fresh from farmers every day,
and our seafood is delivered directly from my friend who lives in seaside.
Every morning, I will come picking wild herbs and flowers go to the woodlands with my dog.
Our intimate restaurant has only eight counter-seats,
so please reserve in advance.
