This application calculates the likelihood of a sugarcane aphid insecticide treatment being economical. This calculation is performed using grain price, application and pesticide cost and the estimated yield loss. The estimated yield loss is based on crop growth stage at time of infestation. This calculator is meant to be a guide. The exact amount of loss cannot be predicted as it is too dependent upon the weather and environment.
