Helga de Alvear (Kirn, Germany, 1936) was recognized in 2010 as one of the 100 most important and influential in the world of art in the famous list "Power 100". In the same year he opened on Visual Arts Center Foundation Helga de Alvear in Caceres, with the exhibition "Borders of silence", a selection of 115 works from the Helga de Alvear Collection.
On October 26, 2012 opened the fourth exhibition Visual Arts Center Foundation Helga de Alvear, made from a selection of funds collector. With the sample entitled Language games, Commissioner Jose Jimenez argues that the art of our time is no longer seeks to reproduce in the works appearances of external reality, but that reality critically interrogate. At the time of the big picture, without a single code representation, and going outside in addition, each artist develops the criteria for significance of his works, produces a language game, whose keys must be rooted in order to interpret their intentions and senses. This diversity, complex and plural, of language games, which should be understood as representations of life forms, is the core of the art of our time. So intense, varied and complex as the world we live today.
