Faced with the current serious economic situation, three entities in Sant Antoni have decided to work together to bring trade and catering closer to homes in the neighborhood by launching a service of "riders", bike dealers, solidarity, at no cost to the trader, unlike the more well-known platforms.
The NGO De Veí a Veí, Som Sant Antoni Unió de Botiguers and Els Encants de Sant Antoni are committed to social “delivery” with a home delivery platform: comproalbarri. There are currently 250 establishments, of which approximately one hundred belong to the Encants de Sant Antoni.
The purchase procedure is very simple. Just search for the establishment that interests us in the search engine of the platform or do a search by type of trade and contact it directly via phone or whatssapp (traders have installed l Whatssapp Business tool to facilitate sales). The distributor collects the order and takes it to the customer's home, who pays for the delivery in cash or through Bizum.
The platform is currently focusing its promotions on restaurants, which have been hit hard by health restrictions due to the pandemic. On weekends, the menus of three different bars and / or restaurants are promoted and for every 10 purchase menu tickets there is a prize.
Service open to all merchants in the neighborhood
"The service of solidarity riders is open to all businesses in the neighborhood," said Lídia Núñez, vice president of Som Sant Antoni, regardless of whether or not they are members of the organization.
The distribution is now done through volunteers from Neighbor to Neighbor, but from January a cooperative will be hired that already works for this NGO. The delivery area is currently delimited by Carrer Tarragona, Carrer Rosselló, Carrer Aribau, Ronda de Sant Antoni and Avinguda Paral·lel.
