Ecosystem

The Ecosystem project is part of the Interreg V France-Wallonia-Flanders programme. The project partners aim to improve cross-border aquatic ecosystems within the project region of Northern France, West and East Flanders using ecological works, and addressing the harm done to native ecosystems and biodiversity by exotic, invasive plants and wildlife. They wish to develop an integrated and sustainable management system for natural resources and cross-border ecosystems through combined efforts and the creation of better monitoring systems. In addition, they also seek to raise awareness of the existing issues among local residents and actors.
 
The Ecosystem app is an innovative tool to help keep track of exotic, invasive species and record measures undertaken for the purpose of developing coordinated and cross-border combating efforts and sustainable management of the hydraulic water basins in the project region.
