The Fit for Life app is aimed at children and young people with hemophilia (hemophilia). It provides specific information and recommendations for the school physical education and points to it, which teaching content are individually implemented. With this app the hemophilic student is given the opportunity to determine, together with the physical education teachers according to the current hours of content which movement patterns and exercises are appropriate or necessary, can be modified so that a low-risk as possible to enable participation in physical education for the patient.
To this end, the Cologne Institute for Prevention and Aftercare (IPN) were developed in collaboration with the Sports Association of Teachers Hessen current educational standards and curricula of primary school and the secondary levels 1 and 2 analyzed and evaluated with regard to their specific requirements, suitability and risks for hemophiliacs. now In this way about 500 typical motion tasks of different motion fields and sports are available, which can be accessed with this app for physical education. These recommendations take into account both the severity and type of disease as well as the current health status, which is determined as part of the Fit for Life-patient events by an apparatus test. The goal of Fit for Life - App is total to support the educational inclusion of children and young people as possible with hemophilia.
