The Haagse Bos app is an interactive GPS puzzle tour in the Haagse Bos.
Storks are hidden throughout the Haagse Bos, including Malieveld and Koekamp (GPS locations) at special, exciting and historic locations. Navigate to the storks with the map from the app. If you come close to a stork, a question or assignment will appear on your screen. If you answer the question correctly, you will receive a letter. At the end of your adventure you can make a word with the collected letters.
Three different puzzle journeys are available. There is one tour in the part between the Koekamp and Laan van NOI (Koekamp side) and there is one tour in the part between Laan van NOI and Huis ten Bosch Palace (Palace side). You can also opt for the entire Haagse Bos, your storks are then divided between the Koekamp and the Palace.
At every location there is the possibility to choose an easy, medium or difficult question or assignment. There are 10 GPS locations per puzzle tour.
Once the app has been downloaded, it is not necessary to have an internet connection while doing the puzzle tour. Because we work with GPS, it is important that your location services are turned on when using the app.
The app was developed by Noblestreet and Het Proces in collaboration with. State Forestry. The purpose of the app is to let children go outside and learn more about the nature, history and facilities of the Haagse Bos.
