Rock Mambo Radio Tororo Limited is a privately owned community based FM radio established in January 2001 located on Plot 17A Mbale Road and transmitting from Tororo Municipality, Tororo District in the Eastern of Uganda with a very clear signal backed by 1kw transmitter at the top of Tororo Rock.
106.8 Rock Mambo FM boosts of a coverage with in a radius of180km covering the whole of Eastern Ugandan districts of Tororo, Mbale, Manafwa, Bududa, Pallisa, Budaka, Kibuku, Butaleja, Sironko, Busia, Kumi, Soroti,, Katakwi, Kapchorwa, Nakapiripiti, Kotido, Bukwo, Iganga, Bugiri, Namayingo, Mayuge, Jinja, Kamuli, Namutumba, Mukono, and parts of western Kenya
The Rock Mambo Radio broadcasts in various languages, namely:
English, Ateso, Adhola, Lunyole, Samia, Lugisu, Lusoga, Luganda and Swahilli commonly spoken among the people of Eastern Uganda and Western Kenya.
The station broadcasts in the local dialects which take up to 60% of the total time while 40% is reserved for English programes aimed at attaining community development
