SFKeyboard (Sausage Finger Keyboard) offers a different kind of typing experience for people with big thumbs. Big buttons combined with press-and-release and press-and-swipe functionalities make it easy to type characters easily and accurately without worrying too much about making simple mistakes.
Special operations in a nutshell:
- Swipe up on the spacebar to enable one-time caps (twice to enable permanent caps & swipe down to disable).
- Swipe left on the spacebar to enable number layout.
- Swipe right on the spacebar to enable special char layout.
Use app settings (in System -> Languages & input -> On-screen keyboard -> SFKeyboard) to tweak settings such as swipe length to make it feel more like home.
Note: this keyboard is obviously not for everyone and fluency comes through use as character positions are stored into muscle memory.
Also: always remember to proceed with caution when installing custom keyboards! Any custom implementation (including this one) may collect all the text that you type and use it for whatever purposes, so blindly installing funky looking keyboards is never wise. At least use one of the official keyboards for things like entering personal information if you have any doubts about the custom ones you might be using.
