About Radio Nacional Rock

LRA 337 FM Radio Nacional,1 operated commercially as Nacional Rock, is an Argentine radio station that broadcasts on 93.7 MHz on FM, from the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It is part of LRA Radio Nacional.

The radio was born under the idea of Horacio Marmurek, then director of the station, to "combine the broadcast of local and international independent rock in the style of the former FM Kabul (currently operated as El Observador 107.9) and without the pressure of the record labels In 2012, the direction of the Federal System of Public Media and Content, in addition to subjecting the station to a severe budget cut, made the controversial decision that the radio only broadcast rock music recorded and produced in Argentina (so-called national rock). . This limitation led her to lose some of her most iconic programs, such as "Tribulaciones", whose host Mario De Cristofaro spoke out against that decision, taken just at a critical moment for national rock, which he described as censorship.
