About Heritage

Young or old, we are all fond of these little stories that tell the Big One! Short stories of monuments, works of art, characters, unusual places, music, cinema, brands, ...

Sharing these little stories with as many people as possible is the challenge for two passionate friends.

"For the record," explains François Gravet, the creator of the site, it was in a Parisian restaurant in the Passage Puteaux, during a lunch with friends that we came up with the concept of pourlapetitehistoire.com! We thought it would be nice to have a guide in our pocket who would allow us to discover the places around us in a different way. Well, we also wanted to change the world but that's another story !!! ".

There are already many tourism mobile applications. Most of them are developed around a single point of interest, such as a city or a museum. The others behave more like advertising agencies marketing the data of their users and billing the spaces available to tourist offices ...

pourlapetitehistoire.com instead invites associations, museums, tourist offices, municipalities, communities, guides and tourism professionals to submit their little stories, free of charge, on a single, shared platform.

Because pourlapetitehistoire.com's ambition is to become the favorite historical guide of the French, and encourage them to come and discover these places on site with real professionals who have become little historians for the occasion!

An ambition that is accompanied by an innovative ethical approach by being the first application to join the #nodata label

"As we use the geolocation feature of our users to provide them with the little stories '' around them '', it was important for us to be able to guarantee them that we would not exploit their personal data" explains François Gravet. “Their profile will never be sold or 'traded', and since we don't advertise, we don't spy files. They know that the sponsored brand stories are our only source of income and although that has discouraged a few potential investors, in the end it is great! ".

Every day dozens of new little stories are offered, including for the first time and on the occasion of Heritage Days, the geolocation of all historic Parisian terminals (also called, for the record, "Starck lollipops" named after its designer and their original form). An essential application to discover these unusual places of the capital which have made our history.
