In the Colors of the Ocean is a small educational game, produced by the students of the DUT in computer science at the IUT de Laval, as part of the 2021 tutored project.
The objective of the game is to help children learn colors. The game offers three mini games (aquarium, crab and bubbles) as well as an ocean-themed training activity. The games also use several interactions that work on children's fine motor skills. Each mini game offers three levels of difficulty adapted from the very small to the large section of kindergarten.
The design of the mini games and the setting of the difficulty levels were done with the help of Anabel Le Goff, a teacher at the public kindergarten of the Frame (53970) and her students.
The object of the aquarium game is to catch the fish, which scroll across the screen, to put them in buckets with a drag and drop. The color of the fish should match the color on the bucket.
The object of the crab game is to move a crab by tilting the tablet so that it pops balloons that are the correct color.
The object of the bubble game is to pop bubbles of the correct color by clicking on them.
This application was produced by students from the DUT informatique de Laval, Corentin Couteaux, Alexandre Lucas, Emmanuel Robert and Jean-Luc Ramilison as part of an IT project supervised by Iza Marfisi.
