Description
Through 40 original texts (20 for CE1, 20 for CE2), the Keys to Reading product allows the student to work on the essential strategies to put in place to learn to understand a text, in order then to assess their understanding in the best conditions.
Each sequence looks the same:
• A text that will serve as a basis for understanding. Several types of text (narrative, description, dialogue, tutorial, cooking recipe, etc.) are offered over the pages to familiarize the student with different genres and registers.
• Two gateway sheets (sheets A and B), built around 7 mental strategies, to learn to understand. These 7 strategies are: rely on punctuation; reformulate ; build a mental picture; guess the meaning of a word; identify the object of a substitute; infer from the context; to film the text.
• An evaluation sheet (sheet C). Through open-ended questions, students can gauge their understanding of the text by reformulating it in their own words.
The video projection application allows you to view and listen to all the texts, to project the files and their answers, and to add notes, hide or highlight elements via the graphic toolbox. It is possible to project a differentiated version of the texts including reading aids for pupils in difficulty.
