About Stop OD NYC

Naloxone is a medication that reverses overdoses from opioids such as heroin, fentanyl and prescription painkillers. New Yorkers can get this lifesaving medication without a prescription at certain community-based organizations and participating pharmacies including Duane Reade, Walgreens, Rite Aid and CVS. With Stop OD NYC, you will learn how to use four different types of naloxone and be empowered to save a life.

You will also learn about different types of opioids, how to recognize an opioid overdose, how to perform rescue breathing, legal protection for you and the person overdosing and how to report using your naloxone.
