The HealthSign by BioAssist app is an innovative solution that enhances access to health services for people with hearing problems. The system supports communication between patient and doctor via video call and provides automatic interpretation of the Greek Sign Language (ENG) and its conversion into text. This facilitates the communication of the user with the medical / nursing staff and significantly reduces the waiting time in cases where there is no direct access to interpretation.
The application is developed in the framework of the HealthSign project and is piloted for ENG users through the Deaf Education Unit of the University of Patras.
