In 1885 the map of Horatio Herbert Kitchener was published in London, which emerged from the first scientific mapping of Cyprus and was a cartographic model until the middle of the 20th century. This map contains a wealth of valuable information of geographical, historical and cultural interest for the island. Much of this information needs to be carefully investigated by the scientific community, even today.
This application is the 2nd version of the online application for exploring Kitchener maps from the map of Cyprus. The new features it offers include:
