The "Academic Achievement Score Projection" model AASP is a pedagogical statistical model for making administrative and academic decisions with an impact on the continuous improvement of the performance of university students. It allows according to the answers that the students offer to a series of questions, to predict the percentile of the expected academic performance with a value between 0.0% and 100.0%. It also offers you an estimate of five indicators of academic performance, among which is the proportion of approved subjects, the simple average of grades, the weighted average of the grades, the indicator called original Aretio and that of Villegas et.al, which it is a modification to the original of Aretio. The estimate of the mean is accompanied by a confidence interval of 95%, indicating the lower and upper limit.
Additionally, it offers another result where it is assessed according to the answers given by the students, the current pedagogical situation according to the code of the semaphore. A red dot is evidence that the evaluated aspect is critical and should be given immediate attention to improve the prediction of academic performance in the short term. If the color is yellow, the situation is alert and attention, but not critical, while the green color is evidence that the evaluated aspect is at the appropriate levels. On the other hand, the student has the possibility of receiving personalized pedagogical suggestions according to the level of response that he / she provides.
It is convenient for the student to perform an evaluation every six months so that he / she is monitoring and adjusting the variables considered in the estimate so that he / she seeks continuous improvement in his / her academic performance.
