HDP Gestosis Score is an objective, dynamic and simplified quantification of maternal risk factors for screening hypertensive disorders in pregnancy (HDP).
It is developed by Dr. Gorakh Mandrupkar and modified by a team of Dr. Sanjay Gupte, Dr. Suchitra Pandit, Dr. Alpesh Gandhi and Dr. Girija Wagh.
This score is accepted in 'Good Clinical Practice Recommendations'(GCPR) by FOGSI-ICOG and Gestosis, India.
Mild, moderate and high risk factors are quantified as 1, 2 and 3 respectively.
Score is calculated by using questionnaire about 27 risk factors.
When total score is >/= 3, pregnant woman is marked as 'At risk for HDP'.
Variable factors like MAP (Mean arterial pressure) and weight gain may alter the score during each visit.
