About Åben og Rolig Kursus

Open and Calm is a scientifically developed course you can access through your municipality or workplace.

In the Open and Calm course, you learn strategies that can strengthen well-being, mental health and quality of life, as well as prevent and reduce perceived stress.

On the course you get tools and practical exercises that can be easily and flexibly used in your daily life.

The course contains 20 sessions of 15-20 min. You will be guided with small videos, meditations and other tools.

Your most important prerequisite for taking the course is that you feel like it. You can take whole sessions or dive into individual exercises and tools when it suits you.

The course focuses on lowering stress and strengthening health and joy of life. It is not a form of therapy. If you experience severe dissatisfaction, we encourage you to seek out a more established form of treatment.

The course is based on the scientifically developed and well-proven program, Open and Calm. Open and Calm has been developed during a research project in collaboration with Rigshospitalet and the Benson-Henry Institute at Harvard University. Open and Calm is offered by the Mental Health Foundation.

Open and Calm is a regular effort to promote mental health and stress prevention in collaboration with a number of actors in both Denmark and abroad. The Open and Calm courses have had over 10,000 participants and are recommended by the National Board of Health.
