HotPatras is a service depending on data that we collect from social network activity in the region of Patras. We then use this data to show you the most popular venues and areas in the city, depending on the day and time, showing you where local residents like to hang out.
The app offers:
- Real time visualization of socially active areas via heatmap
- Venues (e.g. bars, shops, cafes) that are popular at the current or specified times
- Filtering of venues by category
- Notifications about the best places nearby to visit during the day
HotPatras was developed as part of a Ph.D. thesis at the University of Patras, Greece (Computer Engineering & Informatics Department).
