The DOCK App mobile application is an integral part of the automatic access and traffic management system of the Budapest Freeport Logistics and Industrial Park (DOCK) operated by Budapesti Szabadkikötő Logistikai Zrt. (BSZL Zrt.). The application was developed as part of the CE-1278 CORCAP project supported by Interreg CENTRAL EUROPE with the aim of helping to orientate and support traffic management in the free port area. Drivers of road vehicles arriving at DOCK tenants can plan the route to the delivery address, which not only helps with navigation, but the system can minimize congestion by optimizing admission and arrival using the license plate and arrival address provided through the app.
The system can signal the renter when the license plate number is entered through the application when it arrives at the gate and, if necessary, it can direct the vehicle to a car park and call from there as soon as the loader is released.
