Before becoming a village, Lahang Baru at that time was a village under the area of Kuala Lahang Village.
The head of the first village is SAID HASAN and the head of the second village is ABDUL GANI HASAN.
In 1981 Lahang Baru Village was expanded and became definitive with the first village head, namely Mr. ABDUL GANI HASAN with a period from 1981-1990.
After the term of office of the first Village Head expired, a Village Head Election was held and a second Village head was elected, namely Mr. SUDARMO, Mr. SUDARMO served for two terms, namely from 1991-2009.
