God bless you!.
This application has been designed to facilitate the fundamental doctrines of our
Church to every believer, who has begun a new walk with Christ.
Since the beliefs of the Church of God of Prophecy are based on biblical principles, we understand that we are on a spiritual pilgrimage striving to "walk in the light" when it comes to our knowledge of eternal truth. The following doctrinal perspectives reflect our current resolutions through our International Assemblies. We must always be very aware that as human instruments we are subject to limited knowledge. As such, our desire is to continually seek a greater light that best fits Scripture and brings correction to our finite understanding. From now on, after each Assembly, it is expected that the Committee on Biblical Doctrine and Governance will make any necessary adjustments in light of this mandate to reflect the decisions of the Assembly.
Since its inception, the Church of God of Prophecy has based its beliefs on "the entire Bible correctly divided." We accept the Bible as the divine Word of God, inspired, inerrable and infallible. We believe that the Bible is God's written revelation of Himself to humanity and our guide in all matters related to faith; therefore, we turn to the Bible as our ultimate authority for doctrine, practice, organization, and discipline.
The Church of God of Prophecy is steadfast in its commitment to an orthodox Christian faith. We affirm that there is only one God eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. We believe in the deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles He performed, His atoning death on the cross, the resurrection of His body, His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and glory during His second coming. We profess that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is indispensable for the salvation of lost humanity. We believe that the sinner is motivated to need salvation through the convicting work of the Holy Spirit. We believe that, in sanctification through the blood of Christ, one is made holy. We affirm the present and active ministry of the Holy Spirit, who guides the church and that through His indwelling and empowerment we are capable of living holy lives that result in effective service to God and neighbor. We believe in the uniqueness and ultimate unity of believers for which our Lord prayed, and which must be visibly demonstrated "so that the world may know, see and believe" in the glory of God, the coming of His Son and the great love that He counts for His people (John 17: 20-23). We are committed to the sanctity of the marriage union and the importance of strong and loving families.
The church embraces all biblical doctrines as taught in the New Testament, of which we have listed a few that are relevant in our desire to help Christians mature in Christ Jesus:
