When you start a game, you will be given 105 letters, of which no more than seven will be in your rack. The aim is to make words with the letters in your rack.
The letter tiles at the bottom show what's in your rack, and clicking a tile will start forming a word with the letter. Your word will have a score based on what the letters are worth. The score of words longer than four letters get multiplied by the amount shown in-game.
You'll be able to play a word if it is in the SOWPODS dictionary by clicking 'play'. When this happens, the word score will be added to your total score, the letters used to form the word will be disposed of, and your rack will be refilled with the remaining letters. If, however, the word is not in the dictionary, the word space will flash red, and you will be unable to place your word.
If you can't make a word, single letter words count!
'Clear' adds all letters back to the rack, clearing your word
