An accessible youth app has been developed together with a place for everyone, with the aim of enabling teens to learn about the importance of accessibility through involvement in the field.
Through the association's activities in selected schools, students will be given the opportunity to download the app and rate their daily environment through its accessibility level. They will truly experience a sense of responsibility and a deep understanding of what the world looks like through another person's glasses.
When opening the app, students see their whereabouts and businesses around them. They can go to a nearby business (restaurant, movie theater, cafe, etc.) and re-look at it. They will fill out a questionnaire about the place (is there an accessible entrance, are there visual aids and more) and finally can upload photos of the place to illustrate their answer, as well as a personal opinion of the place. Their contents will be stored in the database, and eventually Google will be uploaded and served many.
