Features and Benefits

1. Translation Team - The team of translators and proofreaders was constituted by men and women of different Christian denominations, from various regions of the Hispanic world and from different disciplines. Besides the work of this team, the text has been revised by representative Christians of different countries speaking world.

2. Fidelity - The New Living Translation maintains fidelity to the meaning and message of the biblical text. This translation is not an adaptation of any existing Spanish version on the market. It is a direct translation from the original languages: Hebrew, Aramaic and Greek, carried out in such a way that the reader can also capture the different emotional, affective and spiritual aspects of the message, taking into account new developments of modern linguistics and exegesis contemporary biblical.

3. Naturalness - normally considered translation as the task of decoding the source language and transcribe the content in the receptor language. In the New Living Translation it is designed translation as communication. The receiver is what determines, in much translation. Only when relevant adaptations and modifications are made is that the text communicates something meaningful to the recipient. Here are some criteria to be taken into account in this translation:

a) It has paid particular attention to approach the transition, the various planes in which the characters appear, the relationship that exists between the old and new information, how it ends a sentence and how to begin the next, changes of nouns and pronouns, the distance between the subject and predicate, accent syllable, the rate of grammatical constructions and sounds of the syllables and words.

b) Paragraph takes precedence over smaller units, so the construction thereof has followed the chronological order of events. To avoid complex and long sentences without falling into a "cut" and girlish style uses simple and transparent structure. As a rule, sentences are limited to two or three clauses and parenthetical clauses are avoided.

c) It has taken into account the explicit and implicit information. In some cases, to avoid unnecessary repetition, explicit information is left implicit. In other cases, the implicit information is made explicit. It has done that when you consider that the information is important for the reader or listener well understand the full meaning of paragraph or sentence.

d) have been taken into account idioms, figures of speech and in a number of cases, the deep meaning of a text whose meaning can only be achieved through exegesis-what has been called "exegetical translation ".

e) The figurative language has also been taken into consideration and, as far as was possible, metaphors, similes and other figures of speech have been maintained. But there are cases where the translation has had to make some adjustments to avoid distortion in understanding the message.

4. Simplicity but not simple
