The Agrocommunication app will be able to attract new relationship possibilities between organic and agroecological producers in land reform territories and consumers, as well as develop a brand identity of effectively sustainable products and promoters of rural development through digital marketing actions.
In the city of Campinas there are different initiatives for selling organic products, in addition to local marketing points managed by the so-called "middlemen". However, consumer disclosure and access are still deficient - restricted to the neighborhoods and contact networks of independent collectives - or characterized by elite market niches. Considering the great potential of the Campinas Metropolitan Region (RMC), bringing conscious consumers closer to the relationship between agri-food systems and farmers producing in agrarian reform territories enhances short marketing circuits and establishes arrangements that are also political.
Some features of the AGROCOMMUNICATION application:
- Offer the location of points of consumption of organic and agroecological products produced in land reform territories. A point of consumption is a point of sale of products from the farmers of Settlement Milton Santos (target public of the pilot project) without intermediaries and without commercial exploitation, with a fair and solidary pricing policy.
- Pressing the directions service button will open the Google-Maps application, installed on the mobile phone, with route options for the consumer group from the user's current location.
- Consumption group information, such as: group name; description of the point of sale; address, frequency and opening hours.
- Display of consumer groups that belong to a social movement for land struggle through filters such as the Landless Rural Workers Movement (MST).
