The "La Festa" Association was born on 25 February 2009 on the initiative of the Community of families of the "Venite alla Festa" Association, a reality already active on the themes of hospitality and the family, to create moments of confrontation and opportunities for help and solidarity involving other families in the area.
In particular, the association intends to promote: a new lifestyle that is more sober and attentive to people and things that can affect the improvement of the planet and humanity; the culture of solidarity and sharing, between people and, between them and the institutions; the collective purchase and distribution of goods within the scope of ethical purposes, social solidarity and environmental sustainability referred to above; critical consumption as a tool to inaugurate a lifestyle marked by sobriety, the discovery and enhancement of organic, natural, environmentally friendly products; the support of small local producers of healthy, natural and organic products, establishing direct relationships with them that guarantee fair remuneration.
Each member of the La Festa Association becomes an active part of the local economy and politics through being a responsible consumer. No longer a passive subject who lets himself be conditioned by fashions, trends or advertising indications but an architect of a change towards a new choice of life that is much more attentive to things and people.
