The discomfort of coughing and its persistence can lead to changes in habits and in some cases affect the quality of life and productivity.
Therefore, in consideration of the impact of this symptom and its control, we have devised an integrated system for self-monitoring.
Operation Specifications:
We have devised a multi-level system of self-verification and recording of one's cough.
The user can independently count coughs (active and passive) and have a quantitative indication of the same.
The system is divided into two arming areas:
- Night
- Daytime

The app remains listening, recording all the peaks of noises similar to the "cough sounds".
At the end of the recording, the system processes the number of coughs going to save the sound file for listening and possible verification of false positives.
It is suggested to check the correct distance of the device in order to find the best solution for an optimal recording.
The daytime function, on the other hand, allows the user to manually enter coughing effects.
The data remains on the device, generating statistics (graphs) for easy consultation.
