APP "hypertensive YOU? ALSO CHECK hyperuricaemia ", is an initiative created and organized by the Italian Society of Hypertension (SIIA), it aims to spread among patients a better understanding of uric acid and the hazards involved all'iperuricemia, with particular reference to contribution to the increase in risk of chronic hypertension and other cardiovascular diseases.
Hyperuricemia chronic, ie a persistent increase of uric acid in the blood, is a common condition in the population Italian but can often be asymptomatic for a long time; for this reason, it is often ignored or neglected by the patient, with the consequent danger of the development in time of serious complications (eg. high blood pressure; organ damage at the level of the joints, heart, kidney, etc).
Measuring urea is a simple test that determines the concentration of uric acid in the blood. In the patient with chronic hyperuricemia, uric acid should be maintained below 6.0 mg / dl to reduce the risk of serious damage to the organism, even at cardiovascular level.
Once you downloaded the APP will be able to self-evaluate the patient's risk of being affected by hyperuricemia, with a test consisting of a few simple questions, and you will also be able to have a useful diary of urea measurements and any current therapies.
Using the APP will also include a series of information sull'iperuricemia chronic and tips for proper nutrition and healthy lifestyles, to help reduce the risk of high blood pressure and other diseases.
The APP can be downloaded for FREE.
